La Habra High School offers a variety three- and four-year pathways in the visual arts. Students may pursue beginning, intermediate, and advanced (AP) level pathways in 3D Design, Photography, and Drawing & Painting. HiArts pathways are compatible with many of the other programs offered at La Habra. Contact your guidance counselor to help you outline your four-year plan.

HiArts Program Requirements

Students elect academy status at the end of their freshman year following the successful completion of their arts course/s. Visual Arts and Photography academy students are required to view professional art shows. Performing Arts students attend and perform in their varied program performances. Academy completers are awarded stoles that adorn their gown and receive special mention on their official high school transcript and in the Commencement Ceremony’s program. Cords are also available for completing the requirements of any of the sub programs.

HiArts Stole - HiHonors w/ Distinction

4 years or 40 credits of HiArts classes

Earn B’s or better in all arts courses

Attend 8 arts events outside of your discipline (student documented)

HiHonors - Visual Arts Cord

3 years of a visual art course and a grade of B

or better all three years.

Enrolled in a visual arts course senior year.
