AP2D Design - Photography Focus
AP 2D Design - Photography Focus is the most advanced level offered. Unlike other AP classes that require a written test at the end of the year, students instead submit a portfolio of work based around a topic of their choosing. Over the course of the year, students develop skills in designing and creating effective and meaningful art, and are provided opportunities to write about and discuss their ideas with their peers. Students who receive a passing grade on their AP portfolio are eligible for college credit. The portfolio requires a demanding 15 artworks, so it is strongly recommended that students take the intermediate class (Advanced Photo) prior to the AP course to develop their skills.
